VeinsPlus offers state-of-the art technology in the treatment unwanted facial and body hair. We utilize both the Aurora ELOS technology, which incorporates both intense pulsed light energy and radiofrequency. We also utilize Lumenis-1 technology, which is the second generation of Lumenis intense pulsed light therapy. Hair follicles have 3 phases of growth. Permanent Hair Removal occurs when hair follicles are treated during their active phase of growth. VelaSmooth™

VeinsPlus offers VelaSmooth™, the only FDA-approved procedure for the non-surgical reduction of unwanted cellulite. The formation of cellulite is a chronic disorder in which pockets of subcutaneous fat is collected under skin. Because the skin is tethered to underlying muscle fascia at multiple locations, the pockets of fat between these tethering cords results in a mattress bed appearance. VelaSmooth combines three forms of energy: Infrared Heat and Radiofrequency to increase the metabolism of the underlying fat tissue; and a constant massaging and suctioning component to help stretch the tethering cords.

BOTOX®

This is a wonderful way of minimizing fine lines and wrinkles that occur over the forehead (worry lines), on the sides of the eyes (crows feet), and between the eyebrows (scowl lines; glabellar lines). BOTOX is an injectable neuromuscular relaxing agent that weakens overactive muscles of facial expression resulting in a more relaxed appearance. When provided by experienced medical professionals, this is very safe and comfortable procedure. Results are noticeable in about 7-10 days and can last 3-6 months.

Juvederm™

This is an injectable dermal filler that consist of hyaluronic acid, a natural component of our skin, much like collagen. Unlike collagen, hyaluronic acid has been known to last longer and have less risk of allergic reactions. Juvederm can be used in similar areas as Radiesse. Experienced physicians have also used Juvederm to correct vertical lip lines (smoker lines), and enhance the volume of lips.

Radiesse™

This is an injectable dermal filler that helps soften the appearance of lines around the mouth (nasolabial folds), cheeks (smile lines), and chin (marionette lines). Radiesse consist of small calcium microspheres that act as a scaffolding for collagen to grow on. In several weeks, the injected calcium particles are actually replaced by your own bodys collagen. Results can last over 12 months.

Microdermabrasions

Medical skin exfoliation procedures have always been a popular way of improving the texture and color tone of skin. Microdermabrasions involve spraying a fine mist of crystal particles against the skin surface to lightly sand the outermost layer of dead skin cells off. This allows younger skin to surface which results in minimizing fine lines, tightens large pores, improves the appearance of acne scarring, and improves the evenness of color tones on the skin. There is no downtime associated with this form of exfoliation.

Chemical Peels

VeinsPlus offers both light alpha hydroxyl acid peels (glycolic acid), and medium-deep beta hydroxyl acid peels (Jessner Peels), which also exfoliates the skin similar to microdermabrasions, but does it chemically. The lighter peels result in no down time. The medium-deep peels can cause several days of facial redness and noticeable peeling, which may result in social downtime. The end result is typically very rewarding.

IPL Treatments

This is a very effective form of therapy when treating rosacea, facial spider veins, sun spots, age spots, port wine stains, and melasma. By using light energy at a specific wavelength, these types of facial conditions can be significantly improved. Several treatments may be necessary to get optimal results. The treatments feel like a light rubber-band sensation, and patients may experience some temporary tingling, burning, and redness after treatments. In most cases, there is no downtime and patients can resume their usual activities.

ClearLight

This form of therapy is used to help our patients suffering from acne. Our patients are exposed to a specific wavelength of light that helps diminish the bacteria on the skin surface and also helps to reduce oil production from overactive oil glands. This therapy can also be used in combination with a medication called ALA (amino-levulinic acid), which allows the light energy to be absorbed much more effectively.
