CoolTouch®

Endovenous Laser Ablation (in Bold) State-of-the-art laser technology for the non-surgical treatment of large varicose veins. After large varicose veins are visualized under ultrasound guidance, a thin laser emitting fiber is advanced into the vein, which will heat-shrink the vein closed. Your body will eventually dissolve the treated vein in time. No need to have varicose veins surgically stripped.

VNUS Radiofrequency Ablation

State-of-the-art radiofrequency technology used for the same purpose as laser technology. Instead of laser energy, radiofrequency is utilized to heat-shrink the vein closed. Your body will eventually dissolve the treated vein in time. No need to have varicose veins surgically stripped.

Ultrasound-guided Sclerotherapy

Large varicose branches that are too tortuous to insert a laser or radiofrequency fiber can be successfully treated utilizing chemical sclerotherapy under the visual guidance of real-time ultrasound imaging. The sclerosing medication will also cause the abnormal vein to shrink and in time, the body will dissolve them also.

Transilluminated Sclerotherapy

This is a form of sclerotherapy utilizes a high-intensity light source to enhance the visualization of varicose veins that are just under the skin surface. It ensures that medication is injected into the vein and not around it.

Visual Sclerotherapy

Also known as Microsclerotherapy. This form of sclerotherapy can be performed on very superficial smaller varicosities and spider veins. These veins will also shrink closed and allow the body to dissolve them over time.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Minor surgical procedure utilizing small incisions to selectively remove clusters of varicose veins. The procedure is comfortably performed after the area of concern is locally anesthetized.

Venous Duplex Imaging

In-house radiologic ultrasound imaging allows us to understand the venous anatomy of each of our patients. This allows us to develop a plan of care utilizing conservative measures, interventional measures, or both.

Leg Pain Evaluation

There are many instances when patients don't understand why their legs hurt. Through a careful history, physical, and diagnostic protocols, we can assist in determining whether the cause of leg pain is due to venous disease, arterial disease, lymphedema, restless leg syndrome, etc.

Venous Ulcer Management

Venous ulcers are the result of chronic venous pressure that many times stems from the groins, but also come from the calves directly. The persistent venous pressure to the leads to inflammation of the lower calf and ankle skin resulting in skin thickening and redness (lipodermatosclerosis), skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation), skin irritation (eczema), and ultimately skin breakdown (ulcerations). The goal of treatment is to divert the chronic high venous pressure away from the ulcers to reduce the localized inflammation. This is accomplished by compression therapy (compression stockings) and treating the involved varicose veins either by laser or chemical sclerosants. The ulcers also have to be meticulously cared for by good wound care so that secondary bacterial infections do not pose a risk.

Hemorrhoidal Vein Therapy

VeinsPlus offers Infrared Photocoagulation as a means of nonsurgically treating internal hemorrhoids. It is fast and well tolerated by patients and virtually problem free. The physician applies the tip of a light probe to the base of the hemorrhoids and exposes the hemorrhoid to a short burst of infrared energy. Patients may notice a light heat sensation, but generally do not complain of pain. This causes coagulation of the feeing hemorrhoidal veins, causing the hemorrhoids to shrink. Several treatments are necessary for good results.

Lumenis-1 Therapy

This is the state-of-the art intense pulse light therapy for the treatment of symptomatic rosacea. By utilizing specific wavelengths of light energy, we can treat the intense blushing, flushing, and facial veins associated with symptomatic rosacea. Since rosacea is a chronic condition, individuals will likely require maintenance treatments.

Compression Hose Therapy

Patients that have minor varicose veins or are not candidates for interventional treatments are treated utilizing graduated compression stockings, which are fitted at our clinic. Proper sizing allows for maximum comfort and therapeutic benefit.
